Salary Range: Service_Salary_Schedule_2024_Annual.pdf (core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com) based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include: PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance.
Job Description: The Heating & Air Conditioning Mechanic II/General Maintenance Employee is primarily responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems/related equipment and performing other maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Holds a high school diploma or GED
Has successfully completed a two-year vocational or equivalent training program in heating and air conditioning
Possesses certification required by Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act
Holds “General Maintenance” and “Heating & Air Conditioning” classifications
Verified work experience as HVAC mechanic
Experience with chiller, closed loop systems, Trane UPCM, Trane TUC, and Andover Controls preferred.
Experience with kitchen appliances preferred.
Holds CDL or willing to obtain a commercial driver’s license with Class A endorsement.
Length of Employment: 261 Days
Daily Schedule: 7:25 am - 3:25 pm
Responsibilities: The HVAC/General Maintenance employee shall have the responsibilities and duties as outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook.
